One of the most confusing aspects of consulting is knowing when it’s over. How do you know the time has come to move on from a client or project? How do you drive action in an environment much bigger than you and with more moving parts than you can be consciously aware of at any given moment?
No matter the organization, there has to be a process for how work gets done. And there have to be folks who are responsible, accountable, consulted, and informed. All of that happens via governance.
